Adams County accommodates about 27,330 men and women. The county has been named after John Adams, the second President of the United States. West Union is the county seat of the Adams County. Belmont means “beautiful mountain” in French. Counties in Ohio include Athens. Athens is located at the southeastern part of the state and it was formed in 1805 from Washington County. According to 2000 record, the population of the county is 62, 223. The Clark County was formed on March 1, 1818 and it has been named after the General George Rogers Clark, the great warrior who fought against the Indians in the early phase of the 19th century.
Delaware is surely a significant and fast growing county in Ohio with City of Delaware as its county seat. Erie County has been named after the Erie tribe and its county seat is Sandusky. Columbus, the largest city in Ohio is the county seat of Franklin County. The Franklin County is the home of the Ohio State University.
